Evaluation for my reggae poster

In my reggae poster I have used multiple colours such as black, white, and yellow, green and red this is because all these colours fit into the reggae genre also the connote the colours of the Jamaican flag. Also because some of these colours are bright they also have more of a chance of standing out more to the audience.in a typical reggae poster the common colours that are found are usually red green and yellow this way by using these specific colours throughout the whole of my poster it will be more clear for my audience to know what the genre for my poster is.My point of focus in my reggae poster is bob Marley because he is very well known and he also fits into the reggae genre. The people that listen to reggae are most likely to also know who bob Marley is or they have at least seen him somewhere. The reason for the image being in the middle of the poster is so that it is the first thing the audience see's. The use of bob Marley in my poster is because he has such a wide fame base so this will bring in more viewers for my poster and more people that are a fan of bob Marley will take interest in my poster also because bob Marley is such an icon to many people around the world.I decided to use a different kind of text that no one really uses I felt like it suited the reggae genre and also it fitted into the rest of my poster I used the colour white so it could stand out from the back ground seeing as my back ground is black. Also in my text I added a picture of bob Marley into my text so it wouldn’t look as plain and simple the reason being for this is because I didn't want to draw to much attention of my background and my main focus which was my image of bob Marley but I didn't want the text to be simple and I didn't want my text to be the centre of attention of my poster.I used A3 portrait paper this is I could have more space for my texts and images also I wanted to lay my text on top of my image and it looked better portrait than landscape just because of the size and how small my image and text was. Through out my poster I used a puzzle shape in my background this is so it could be different to the rest of the reggae posters and also to make the background stand out more into individual shapes. Proportions in my reggae poster my image and background is the main focus so the text comes after both my image and background because my background and image is so eye catching to my audience my text comes in second because of the fact of how plain it is.basic semiotics, my images related back to the fact that my picture is to do with the reggae genre because of the background and ethnicity of bob Marley it relates back to how he fits into my reggae genre poster. Typography in my reggae poster I had gotten my image of bob Marley of the internet I then changed it by out lining my image with yellow and also printing out another face of bb Marley and adding it on top to give that 3d effect also my background I had also gotten from the internet and I changed it by moving some colours around and also adding on top a puzzle shape to attract attention to the bright colours and to make it stand out and again to give that 3d effect and by adding in the puzzle shapes it then gave my background that 3d effect.my text I had made my self and added in images into my self. hearty because there is only a few seconds to get my poster across to my audience I have added in 3 simple things for the poster that being the text image and background my image clearer connotes the reggae genre and so does my background with the use of three simple colours and my text which is ''reggae;; which is clear and precise and gets straight to the point of what my poster is about this is to keep it short and simple and easy for the audience to understand. composition my poster is very well layer out and all fits in together my colours all match my poster and so does my text the point of focus of my poster is again my image but also the things around it such as my text and background all fits into it and suits my image
