Many of these products are used for the same purpose such as to educate, promote and entertain. For example interactive media and DVD and cd covers are both used for entertainment purposes but they are seen as two different things they both link back to each other because of how they are both used for entertainment purposes. Also adverts and leaflets are both used to promote a product but adverts are done through digital media whereas leaflets are not because adverts are done through digital media the product that is being promoted will become more popular because of the amount of people that are watching the advert but it is more expensive than using leaflets to promote a product so both adverts and leaflets have their advantages and disadvantages. instruction manuals such as how to put together a bed is used to guide and educate people on how to fix a bed same way e-newspapers are there to educate but they are both different things. Some products could have two purposes such as e-magazine it could be to educate people about things that are going on in celebrities lives but used for entertainment purposes also, if you was to use it for educational purposes you could be working in the industry where your job is writing blogs about celebrities and for entertainment purposes you could be just doing it on your own will. Leaflets could be used to provide advice such as a leaflet about cancer could provide advice to people that are going through it or no someone who is going through it. DVDS and audio products are used to entertain as they both let the audience listen and hear new things.
The advantages of digital publishing such as e-magazine and e-newspapers is that it is more easy for people to access and also more of the younger generation can access it instead of having to actually go out they have their phones and computers to access it whereas traditional publishing for example leaflets and flyers are not as easy to access for younger people but for the older generation and the people who are used to reading and getting leaflets and flyers there would be more of a chance of them actually reading and going out to get a flyer or a newspapers the reason for leaflets and flyers being a disadvantage for the younger generation is because some leaflets and flyers contain information and health and danger so less people would get to read about it and it is was waste of money people they can easily access it online or on their phones.
Overall there are more advantages for digital publishing rather than traditional publishing because people are relying more and more each day on getting information and reading and finding out things online whereas traditional publishing will eventually die out when more of the young generation grow up and are used to using digital publishing.
All of the media sectors all serve a purpose possibly two media sectors that are totally different could have the same purposes such as to promote, to entertain, to educate and to provide advice these are all used through a media sector. For example adverts are used to promote and so are leaflets but leaflets can also be used to provide advice or to educate it all depends on what information is been given out to the media sector.
