Evaluation

Our aim for our camping film is to create awareness for people that are in domestic violence and send a message out that it is never too late to ask for help. In our campaign advert me and my group was aiming to reach out to people that are in domestic violent relationships so they can get help also it is to show people the beginning signs of beginning in a domestic violent relationship so people are aware of the signs of domestic abuse so they can stop it before it gets to far because some people don’t know when they are involved in a domestic violent relationships.

The audience was supposed to them feel as if they were educated about the signs of domestic violence and how you can get away from being in a domestic violent relationship also the audience that are already in a domestic violent relationship need to then feel like they have people that can be there for them and that can help them.

We did achieve our aim and me and my group know this from the audience feedback where our class mates said ‘’it was clear what was happening in your camping advert and it is clear that the message is that there is help for people that are in domestic violent relationships and the signs of being in a domestic violent relationship are very clear to see’’.

One of the scenes to be in a home to also show that it also happens behind closed doors but there was a problem with people getting to one of the group members homes so we decided to film our whole camping advert in our college

At the beginning of the task for a film campaign we decided to use domestic violence because there are many people that are going through it and who will later on go through it. Our original idea was for our group to show how it is to be in a domestic violent relationship and then our ideas then developed to having flashback of the couple and also showing messages because people can also be emotionally abused which is seen as being the same as being physically abused. One of the scenes to be in a home to also show that it also happens behind closed doors but there was a problem with people getting to one of the group members homes so we decided to film our whole camping advert in our college.one member of our group was hardly in so we had to change some of the characters in our campaign film and try and not include a character that we thought didn’t have a lot of importance in the campaign film.

One of our strengths was planning the whole of the campaign film because we researched beforehand and that gave us more of an idea of what kind of things should go into the domestic violence relationship film campaign. One weakness that we had was when we was filming we had to change a few scenes because we saw that they all didn’t fit in together so filming was a bit time consuming and we had to rush at the end.

Our campaign film was all placed in our college because it was easier and more suitable for our campaign film and also if we was to film out of school for example in a public place it would create confusion for the public of what is going on because our campaign advert was about abuse some of the public may take it in the wrong way and not think is was just an advert so it seemed to similar and easier for us to create our campaign advert in college.

  1. A well written evaluation Malvina and you consider the extent to which you satisfied the brief and got the message across about your chosen campaign. You draw on audience feedback and examples from the film. You need to complete this! Suggestions for development? Vanessa
